Adoption – boys from Black and Mixed parentage

Please invite your networks and communities to attend the Adoption Summit on Monday 17 September, 6.30-9pm at Kia Oval County Surrey Cricket Club, Kennington Oval, SE11 5SS.

The government is encouraging all local authorities to increase the number of children who are placed for adoption and to do this as speedily as possible.

The Adoption Summit aims to involve groups within the community in helping to find permanent families for children who are in urgent need.   Religious and multifaith groups are well placed to explore opportunities for adoption and to advise the adoption services on more effective partnership with community groups.  Voluntary Adoption Agencies and support services will also be attending the Summit.

The event is organised by Lambeth Council and supported by Faiths Together in Lambeth.  Participants from across London are welcome.  Download the flyer and welcome letter.  The event is free.  Register by emailing Andrew Carter.
