London Boroughs Faiths Network is an informal network of practitioners. It brings together people from religious and intercultural groups who are improving their neighbourhood or borough. We work with our local councils, police, NHS and other local statutory bodies to improve public services, especially for those who rely on them most.
LBFN has been active since 2003, when regeneration programmes encouraged local religious communities to get involved and borough faith forums were on the increase.
- If you are responsible for engaging local religious and intercultural groups on behalf of a local authority or other public agency in London – this network is for you
- If you are consulted by your borough council or other public agency because you are part of a local religious or intercultural group – this network is for you
- London Boroughs Faiths Network is the bridge between public agencies and London’s diverse faith communities
- We create a safe and neutral space for faith communities to collaborate and develop shared learning and solidarity
- We help faith communities develop their voice, increasing their visibility between sectors and within decision-making processes in London.
- We act as a trusted partner, enabling London’s faith and belief communities to create the social change that is required to achieve a thriving, equitable, healthy, sustainable, and resilient London for all.
- Our work supports public sector organisations to understand what is important and how to engage with the faith sector
