Our Work

Here, you can find an overview of what we do. Click on the headings to find out more.

Through our partnership work, we develop more efficient and effective planning, response and recovery from resilience events. By collaborating with others, we also increase our reach into London’s communities.

We do this by:

  • Discussions and partnership development with existing and potential partners
  • Co-designing, planning and delivering programmes with the London Communities Emergencies partnership. This includes one ‘summer preparedness’ and one ‘winter preparedness’ webinar annually

Effective communication is vital to our work. Through a variety of channels, we increase awareness of issues affecting London. We also promote events and programmes that help to develop the skills of the sector. Our communications also give us an increased ability to respond to resilience events and develop a more inclusive London Resilience Partnership.

We do this by:

  • Sharing resilience information with the faith sector through newsletters, social media and the LBFN website
  • Responding to London Resilience Unit requests, providing feedback on papers, and supporting faith sector involvement in resilience exercises and meetings

Through our work in this area, we help to develop a stronger, more human and community-centred resilience system in London.

We do this by:

  • Coordinating the Faith and Belief Sector Panel
  • Developing new London Resilience Multifaith plans
  • Connecting, convening and communicating with faith groups during emergencies

We offer grassroots and frontline groups the opportunity to connect to a network of skills and knowledge for preparedness, response and recovery.

We do this by:

  • The delivery of regular Community Resilience Training and exercising programmes throughout London
