Two opportunities for artists to submit their work on religious and intercultural themes:

2012 Faith Through A Lens winner Paul Triller’s Brothers in Arms.

Faith Through a Lens is looking for

“the amateur photographer that best captures the essence of faith and the community.”

Suggested themes include ‘community spirit against the odds’ and ‘a community hero’.

Prizes include photographic equipment and the judges include Paresh Solanki from the Inter Faith Network and photojournalist Don McCullin (profiled this week on BBC1).  The deadline for submission is 14 October.

Call out 2013 individual artists3FF has put out a call for submissions to their annual Urban Dialogues exhibition, which this year includes some outdoor space.

“This exhibition is designed to stimulate dialogue in the contemporary arts, reflecting the cultural diversity of our society, but also exploring issues of fragmentation and dissonance.

We are looking for artists to present fresh ideas and approaches that challenge our understanding of who we are and what we believe.”

The deadline is 15 July.

Faith Through a Lens finalists will be invited to an awards ceremony in London on 20 November.  Successful Urban Dialogues submissions will be exhibited at the Red Gallery 1-13 October.
