Extreme Heat Resources

During a heatwave, we are always overwhelmed by the amount of useful resources that come our way. Whether it’s advice on how to keep cool, taking care of vulnerable people, or signing up as a cool space, there is so much information flying around that it’s hard to keep track. We’ve created this page so you can find everything you need in a heatwave in one place.

Cool spaces

You can find cool spaces, and register to become one, here – https://apps.london.gov.uk/cool-spaces/

Cool spaces are places around the city where people can go to keep cool in the heat. Many people do not have adequate cooling options in their homes.

Please note that if you are a place of worship and don’t meet the requirements to become an official cool space, please still consider opening up to your local communities in extreme heat.
