Training

The London Boroughs Faiths Network offers a variety of training opportunities throughout the year. We run webinars on a wide variety of topics, and have an in-person Community Resilience Training programme which runs multiple times a year across different areas of London.

Find out more about our Community Resilience Training:

This training began in 2017 following tragic events in London, including Grenfell Tower, London Bridge, Westminster and Finsbury Park. The Manchester Arena attack also happened the same year. London Boroughs Faiths Network (LBFN) ran a successful pilot training programme for community leaders, which received positive feedback.

The training has been co-designed with specialist agencies including local authorities, the Met Police, British Red Cross, Victim Support, and the Community Security Trust.

London’s Community Resilience programme brings together voluntary, community, and faith groups alongside emergency services, local authorities, and public agencies.

Faith leaders and places of worship play a vital role in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from emergencies, as well as the wider impacts of health, climate, and economic challenges. Community leaders are key to creating safer neighbourhoods, developing practical response skills, and fostering resilient spaces.

By working together across different traditions and sectors, we can strengthen our collective ability to protect and support communities in times of need.
